ADVANCE FUNERAL PLANNING

Someone will have the responsibility of taking care of this when you die. So advance planning and Preneed insurance is not really about you, it's about them and their emotional and financial well-being. #whodoyoulove

Why is Preneed insurance important?

There are 4 major reasons.

  1. For peace of mind

  2. To ease the burden on your family

  3. To make your own decisions, such as cremation or burial, or who is involved in the memorial service itself

  4. To set money aside in advance

The Big Question!!!

If there was a way you could ease the burden on your loved ones, would you want to learn about it? With advance planning and Voyage Preneed Insurance, even when you're gone, you'll still be helping them and providing a final gift of love.

Why Voyage Preneed insurance is beneficial for families

Voyage can offer peace of mind and protection for families

Let's face it. Advance funeral planning is not the easiest topic to discuss. According to the National Funeral Directors Association, only 21% of Americans have spoken to their loved ones about their end-of-life wishes — and that doesn’t include covering the costs. But if clients plan ahead with Preneed insurance, like our Voyage plan, they can remove the guesswork and the strain on their loved ones.

Voyage is a win for the families, as an insured's death benefit is never less than what they have paid in. There is a 100% return of premiums. Every dollar an insured pays into their plan will be paid back in the form of the death benefit — and possibly more.

The Voyage plan pays a death benefit of the total premium paid or the face amount plus growth at our interest rate, if it’s greater. Clients will never pay more than what gets returned in a death benefit.

In many cases because of the return of premium, there is money left over that a family can use for other final expenses that weren't planned for.

The Voyage plan is offered in Single Premium, One-year, Three-year, Five-year, and Ten-year payment plans, and after answering two simple health questions, clients can qualify as a policyholder for first-day coverage.

“We recently fulfilled a Voyage Preneed Funeral insurance plan that was written in September 2012 for $8,200. When [the insured] passed away in March 2020, the death benefit was $13,572,” says Kevin Wetzel of Memorial Park Funeral Homes in Gainesville, Georgia. That means the Voyage plan grew by $5,372 in eight years.

Three Preneed Funeral insurance plans; one that’s right for you

Preneed insurance plans are specifically designed to keep pace with an ever-changing funeral market. Your premiums will never be increased, and your policy will never be discontinued as long as the premiums are paid on time. Your health may dictate which plan you qualify for, but you won’t be denied a policy based upon poor health.

Voyage plan

The Voyage plan is designed so you’ll never pay more in premiums than what gets returned in the death benefit. It can be paid in a single payment, one-year plan,1 or through multi-year payment plans based on age. Two simple health questions qualify you for first-day coverage; otherwise, a graded death benefit is available. (Please scroll down to the FAQ section for a definition of graded death benefit.)

Course plan

The Course plan is designed to provide a favorable growth rate on the dollar amount of the policy. Its premiums are slightly lower than the Voyage product. It also can be paid in a single payment, one-year plan,2 or through multi-year payment plans based on age. Two simple health questions qualify you for first-day or immediate full coverage; otherwise, a graded death benefit is available.

Destination plan

The Destination plan is a single-payment annuity designed for a funeral service that is only weeks or months away. Health questions are not required. The death benefit is whichever is greater — the premium paid or the cash value.
